Our Board

Diane Kelso (Board Chair) is a retired Registered Nurse after working in the industry for 40 years. She has more time now to lend to her blueberry and peach farm. She is a native Oregonian and her husband, Peter, is a transplant from Arizona. They both enjoy volunteering in their local community at the Sandy Actor’s Theatre and the Pacific Crest Trail Association. In addition, they especially find the Sandy Community Action Center to be an awesome resource for the community and are both very active volunteers.

Midge Meade (Treasurer) and her husband moved to Oregon in 1991 to raise their four children within the qualities that make Oregon, and specifically, Sandy, Oregon, special; wooded lots, clean water and air, easy access to Mt Hood wilderness and the city of Portland. Since 1992 Midge has worked as a Registered Nurse at Mt Hood Medical Center in Gresham. She enjoys doing anything outdoors, volunteering and helping to reduce the barriers people face in securing a healthy, productive lifestyle.

Mike Walker (Secretary) Mike has lived in Sandy since 1985. He moved here from Colorado to become the Public Works Director for the City of Sandy. His wife, Kathleen, and he have two daughters – Emily, a Freshman at Lewis & Clark and Anya, a sophomore at Sandy High School. His community service gigs included a stint as chair of the Oregon Trail School District Facilities Task Force, member of the Value Oregon Trail Education (VOTE) group that advocated for the new High School bond and as a member of the School District Bond Oversight Committee.

Stan Pulliam grew up in the Sandy community and returned over 10 years ago with his wife MacKensey to raise their two daughters so that they would develop the same wonderful memories that he created as a kid in Sandy. Stan now serves as the Mayor of his hometown of Sandy and has a professional career as an Insurance Executive for USI Insurance Services. With a passion for community and civic engagement, Stan serves on several charitable and social nonprofit boards in addition to the Sandy Community Action Center, like the First Tee Program of Greater Portland and the Vietnam War Memorial Fund. In recognition of significant achievement in addressing the causes and conditions of poverty in Clackamas County, Stan and his wife MacKensey were awarded with the Community Impact Award for Distinguished Service in 2020.  When Stan’s not involved in helping better his community, he enjoys spending time with MacKensey and their girls on their family property at Lake Billy Chinook.
